We never imagined we'd become business owners. My wife and I met while volunteering at a homeless ministry in downtown Los Angeles, Skid Row. After we got married, we originally planned to become missionaries. I'm an engineer and my wife is a dentist so we figured we could help out easily.
However, during a visit to Brazil, we realized that sometimes the best way to help those in need, like the poor, orphans, widows, and refugees, is by creating meaningful job opportunities.
Witnessing the harsh realities of people struggling to survive and resorting to desperate measures, like selling their bodies, motivated us to take action. We saw that providing stable jobs could prevent these hardships and empower people to support themselves and their families with dignity.
We also got the idea for our cooling product. I somehow remembered my fluid dynamics class at Cornell. It dawned on me that car ventilated seats could be much more efficient with a few changes.
At Polar Bair, our mission is more than just making money. Along with offering fair wages, we donate 10% of our profits to help kids in crisis.
Thank you for your support and God bless!
